Receipts into Google Drive, from the till
The gap between getting a receipt and filing it is where receipts go to die. Close it to about four seconds: photograph it, send it, done.
The shoebox is not the problem
The camera roll is. A photographed receipt feels filed, and then it is buried under three hundred photos of something else by the end of the week.
- Paper fades. Thermal till receipts are often unreadable within a year — well before you need them.
- A photo in your camera roll has no date that means anything, no vendor and no total. It is an image, not a record.
- Filing later means handling every receipt twice, and the second time is always the one that does not happen.
What you get instead
- The receipt in your own Google Drive, under the month printed on it, in the Receipts folder.
- Vendor, total and currency read off the receipt, so it is a record rather than a picture.
- A filename you could find by eye:
cafe-nero-2026-03-14.jpg. report marchwhenever you want to know what a month came to.
The part that matters most
The documents are written into your Google Drive, in a folder you named. Not our storage with an export button — your account, your folders, your files.
- We never keep a copy. The file is read in memory, written to your Drive, and dropped.
- Your documents are never used to train an AI model.
- Send

Questions
Where do my documents actually go?
Into your own Google Drive, in a folder you name. Nothing is stored on our servers — the file is read in memory, uploaded to your Drive, and dropped. You can revoke access at any time and keep every document.
What can it read?
PDFs and photos — PNG, JPEG, WebP and HEIC — up to 15 MB. A phone photo of a paper receipt works as well as a PDF invoice; the AI reads the image itself rather than relying on text extraction.
Does it understand what is on the receipt?
Yes. It pulls out the vendor, the total, the currency and the document date, and files by that date. That is what makes 'report march' possible later, and it is why sending the same receipt twice is recognised as a duplicate rather than filed again.
