Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Docket, operated by Baan Software. Last updated August 2026. By messaging the bot you agree to them.

What the service does

Docket receives documents you send over WhatsApp, reads them using an AI model, and files them into a Google Drive account you connect. It is a filing assistant. It is not an accountant, a bookkeeper or a tax adviser, and nothing it produces is financial or legal advice.

Your account

Your account is the WhatsApp phone number you message from. Keep control of that number and of the setup links we send you — anyone holding a live setup link can complete that setup.

Subscriptions, trials and cancellation

  • Plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe.
  • Every plan begins with a 7-day free trial. Your card is collected at sign-up but is not charged until the trial ends. If you do not finish connecting Google Drive, we cancel the trial for you.
  • Each plan includes a monthly document limit. When it is reached, filing pauses until the next month or until you move up a plan.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-months.
  • Documents already filed are in your own Google Drive and remain yours after cancellation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Send content you do not have the right to store or process.
  • Send unlawful material, or material designed to attack, manipulate or extract data from the service or the AI model behind it.
  • Attempt to circumvent your plan's limits, or resell access to the service.
  • Use the service in a way that breaches WhatsApp's or Google's own terms.

We may suspend an account that does any of the above.

Accuracy

The category, vendor, total and date are produced by an AI model reading your document, and can be wrong. You are responsible for checking anything you rely on — particularly anything used for tax or accounting. Commands like review and fix exist precisely because these values are not guaranteed.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. It depends on WhatsApp, Twilio, Google and Stripe, none of which we control.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Baan Software is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss arising from a misread, misfiled or undelivered document. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance.
